Banksy's Di-Faced Tenner is one of his famous bank notes, created as part of a large publicity stunt where he 'made it rain' and released them at the Notting Hill Carnival, Reading Festival and at Liverpool Street station. The ten pound notes feature Princess Diana and Charles Darwin with thought provoking quotes by them.

Banksy is an anonymous British street artist and political activist whose work blends satire, dark humour, and social commentary. Emerging in the 1990s in Bristol, Banksy gained international fame for his stencil-based graffiti, often appearing overnight in public spaces. His work critiques capitalism, war, surveillance, and authority through bold imagery and irony, which challenges social norms. In 2018, his work ’Girl with Balloon’ was partially shredded immediately after being sold at a Sotheby’s auction for over £1 million. This act of destruction went viral with the work being re-named 'Love is in the Bin' and subsequently reselling for $18.5 million in 2021.
